1. Point

Select or drag across the part of the page you want to ask about.

2. Ask

Type the rough question you would normally say out loud.

3. Copy

Copy a structured prompt and paste it into your AI tool of choice.

Use cases

Built for reviewing pages in your own browser.

Many AI agents now include browsers, but if you prefer previewing local HTML pages in Chrome or Safari, ClickAsk makes it easy to say exactly which part of the page needs work.

UI polish

Select a button, input, or heading, then ask for a lighter background, larger type, tighter spacing, or another specific visual change.

Element references

Stop describing “the second button near the top-right label.” ClickAsk captures selector, visible text, and page context for the selected element.

Local development preview

Keep using your native browser for local HTML, prototypes, and static pages, then hand precise context to an AI agent for edits.

Page understanding

Use it beyond development: select content, tables, errors, or interface regions and ask AI to summarize, analyze, debug, or improve UX.

Workflow

Install once. Use it in three steps.

ClickAsk needs no account, backend, or automatic upload. It prepares a prompt locally; you choose where to paste it.

  1. Add it to bookmarks Drag the ClickAsk button above to your bookmarks bar. Safari users can use the manual install code as the bookmark address.
  2. Run it on a page Open the page you want to inspect, click the ClickAsk bookmark, then click or drag-select the target area.
  3. Write and copy Type your real request, keep the auto-recommended prompt type or choose one manually, then copy the result to your AI agent.

Some sites limit ClickAsk

Strict CSP pages (GitHub, Twitter, banks) can block inline styles or scripts. ClickAsk falls back to a basic look-and-feel; for full visuals use it on your own pages or local dev sites.
